November 2023, in Prague

Still working with video technology, media delivery and Internet technology? You Are Not Alone, and the back-to-back SVTA and IETF meetings in November was a great place to get together.

Back in 2018 Internet Streaming was already a fast growing way to deliver video to viewers, but the technical community was still getting organized around it. We organized YANA0318, You Are Not Alone March 2018, and held it in London to bring together technologists working on Internet streaming to help people find and share others with a shared interest.

Since YANA0318, the past 5 years been both beyond fiction and have seen explosive growth in the number of people and organizations working on parts of Internet Streaming standards and technology.    Two of those organizations, the Streaming Video Technology Alliance (SVTA) and the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) were meeting back-to-back in Prague, CZ during the first 2 weeks of November 2023.

It seemed like too natural and good an opportunity to pass up organizing another You Are Not Alone, this time in Prague,  to once again bring together people who share this common passion to share, talk and connect.  So, we organized YANA1123 in Prague.

YANA1123 was held on Sunday November 5th in Prague.

The meeting proceedings are now available, as well as selected presentations.

One clear takeaway from the meeting: we really cannot wait another 5 years before having another meeting like this!
